What is the Metric Library?

Finmark’s Metrics Library is an in-app feature that enables you to easily find and utilize metrics that can help measure the trajectory of your business as well as surface insights about risks and opportunities.

  • Discover - measuring success and identifying potential roadblocks early is not easy. Having a place to go to find trusted benchmarks and best leverage the data that already exists in the application can be simple and helpful

  • Visualize - with a few clicks you can find metrics that you want to use and add charts to your dashboard to help you analyze past and future performance

  • Trusted - all metrics have been reviewed by Finmark and come with context to help you understand their purpose and how they're calculated

  • Editable - the is not one way to measure and every company is unique. Once you add a metric, you can edit it via the custom variables section to tailor it to your specific needs

How does the Metric Library Work?

The Metric Library is its own section and you can find the icon on the scroll bar on the left hand size of the screen.

Once you are in the Metric Library section, you can enter terms in the search bar to find a specific Metric – You can also search through the library by Focus, Function, Industry, Other, Size or Type.

Once you locate your desired Metric, Click the "plus" to choose Variable only or a Variable & chart.

Once you select an option, you will see your new metric in your desired location.

In order to see the Finmark function behind the scenes, click on the Fx button in the top right hand corner of the metric box. Note these functions will contain your Finmark system variables.
